Students will navigate the KIVA website to learn more about KIVA and it's mission statement. After completing the KIVA Scavenger Hunt worksheet, students will provide the name and bibliography of a woman or women's group to their class that they would like to consider as a loan recipient.

If you do not already have a KiVA Scavenger Hunt, ask your teacher for permission to print one from the document below.
Navigating the Kiva website, complete the questions on the worksheet. If you need additional paper for your research, use lined notebook paper. Do your best to answer each question to the best of your ability.
Bonus points will be awarded for completed scavenger hunts.
When researching people or groups to be considered as loan recipients, it is important to provide a bibiography on that person. A bibliograph is a summary or background information about the person or group. Also include what they will use the money for and how it will benefit their business.
Bring completed work to your next social studies class. Be prepared to provide the group or person you would like be considered as a loan recipient.
As a group, we will choose a loan recipient in class and begin the micro-lending process!!!
